Innovation, technician skills, and vocational education and training: connecting innovation systems and vocational education and training

The paper adds to the literature on vocational education and training by developing an account of role played technicians, training, in innovation. It also fills a gap innovation systems analysing neglected technicians providers outlines technicians’ contribution innovation, sets out theoretical framework for system, discusses what ‘system failure’ involves this context, as well possible policy responses, using England case study.
